The web based server contains many logs, features, and functions that offer an administrator total access from their desk, or from the other side of the world. 

Self-Contained and Easy to Use

ACTAtek is essentially a small computer that stores all the software and data directly on the unit itself, and can be mounted on an indoor or outdoor surface.

A user-friendly menu guides users through all the basic functions available. By connecting ACTAtek to a network, using a simple ethernet connection, the dynamic list of functions are available on ACTAtek's web interface.

Administrators can login using any web browser with a secure connection and access employee records, data logs, access rights, times of operation, times of access, activation/deletion, and many others features.

Once in place, the ACTAtek optical scanner registers multiple templates of a person's fingerprint to ensure maximum efficiency. Registered users may now gain access by scanning their selected fingers on the unit. When the user is verified, ACTAtek sends a signal to an electric lock, opening or unlocking the door.

Every user may be assigned specific access privileges including: specific areas, access times, and many other actions using the web interface. In addition to fingerprint recognition, ACTAtek is compatible with smartcards and has pin number access options.

Simple User Access Management

Using ACTAtek's Integrated Web Server Technology, user management may be achieved on a singular or large scale basis. Each user is assigned a user number to which a series of information is included: a person's name, department, events, dates/times, terminal, picture, required method of access, status, and any additional remarks.

By grouping users into departments or access groups, many users may be handled with a few clicks of a mouse. Both groups and single users are assigned access rights by using an easy point and click spreadsheet.

A trigger function also exists to enable a basic in/out mode for reporting. You can also customize your own triggers for certain uses. Triggers are often used for time and attendance in order to clock in and out of the unit, or to track job numbers.

Easy Control of Multiple Units

If multiple ACTAteks are used, they can be setup in a primary / secondary mode. In this mode, the primary unit coordinates the exchange of enrollment data, access policies and audit logs from all the other units in the network. This allows an administrator to manage the entire network of systems from a single web browser window.

All the information entered into the primary system is automatically propagated to all secondary units. The enrollment of the user's fingerprint is also handled by the primary unit. When a user is enrolled in a unit, the information is sent to the primary unit then propagated to the other units on the network. Once enrolled, the user will automatically have access to all areas that their specific access policy allows.
