The 5800SS1 Wireless Shock Sensor can be installed directly on the surface of the glass. It suppliess superior detection for all types of glass breakage while supplying greater false alarm immunity. It is meant for use with ADEMCO's 5800 wireless security systems alone. The 5800SS1 is works especially well in rooms that are acoustically hard and reverberant, rooms like kitchens, bathrooms and laundry-rooms that are easily prone to false alarms. Since the 5800SS1 is a shock sensor, it is immune to the sounds that often cause false alarms. Installation is easy, just pull the battery tab to enroll the transmitter, peel the adhesive backing from the device and set it up. There's no need whatsoever to open the case for any reason except to change the battery, and that won't be necessary for years later.
