I purchased this kit about two months ago to add a security system to my home automation setup. The installation was pretty easy. Overall the system works exactly as I want it to. I am using the PC5401 module to talk to my home automation server, which sends an email to my 3G phone when the alarm goes off. My server runs HomeSeer2 with DSC plug-in and DSC PC5401 serial computer interface module. The system was the right balance of ease of installation and rich features for integrating with my home automation. I would definitely recommend the PowerSeries 1832 kit, especially if you are looking to integrate with HS2.
