I like this panel. I use two of them. One for the main entry and the other for the master bedroom. They do make a doorbell ding or you can have them announce the sensor when the system is not armed and a door or window is opened. As the other reviewer said, it is very annoying that I cannot press a Silent button the device for the count down. At night, this means going to main panel and setting the alarm and then pressing Silent or else Ill wake the entire house with a count down timer.

I've had my Simon XT & Touchscreen for about a month now, and I love It. The Customer Service and Tech support is Superb, The 1st touch screen was faulty , but they resent me a new one and it works great with no issues, they even paid the shipping for me to send it back, any issues I've had they took care of it, promptly ! Now I am still trying to figure out why the weather isn't displaying on both the Main Panel and Touch screen at the same time, it did it before I got the 2nd replacement touch screen panel, now it will not display on the Main panel,but only on the touchscreen now, strange it worked before, it was nice to see the weather coming and going out of either of my Doors . Now I'm just saving for more equipment to add to my system. other than that I am very satisfied with The Service I have received .

What a great enhancement to my Simon XT system. I mounted this unit right next my door for easy access when leaving/entering. The GUI interface has ICON's to instantly show you whether or not a door or window is open or whether or not a motion sensor is detecting motion. When you arm the system, it will show if a door or window sensor is open and detail which ones.
It allows for arming for doors & windows AWAY, doors & windows STAY or AWAY (doors/windows/motion). Even when the system is not alarmed, it announcements the sensor name when one is opened. The only thing I don't know how to do is to put it in a 'silent mode' when I arm it at night so I don't have to listen to the count-down beeps until it fully arms. All that is necessary however is to go to my main unit and press the SILENT button there...not a real problem.
