Product Description

The DS 924 motion sensor comes with an ITI transmitter motion sensor that detects infrared energy given off by persons within a protected area. An alarm is indicated only if the sensor has been armed and the viewed energy has the correct motion, temperature, and timing matching a human intruder's, thus ensuring that the number of false alarms is highly reduced. The sensor utilizes fresnel lenses to supply seven different coverage pattern options, including an exclusive pattern to protect against accidental activation by pets.

I found it performs better, has more flexibility, and was easier to install then the ITI Pet Immune SAW Motion Sensor. This unit removes from the mounting plate easily, and top-access is not an issue, if you follow the instructions to "pry up and out from the bottom."

Difficult to mount because the access is on top after it is installed. I cut off the the lower tabs holding it on the mounting plate. I used the built in screw to attach it to the mounting plate.
