KEYFOB unresponsive after a few uses, Submitted by Tracey on 6/7/2011
I rarely use the keyfob, but after say a dozen uses, the keyfob buttons do not readily respond, and sometimes I cannot get the button to respond at all. It's very frustrating. I once opened the keyfob and raised the sensor (metal strip that makes the connection) and it worked for a little while. I'm concerned that if I do that again, that the thin metal strip will weaken or even break.
works great, Submitted by Tyler on 4/21/2011
In my experience this has great range - it works fine from our porch, or even the driveway (which is about 5-15' and through a window or two). I was worried about accidentally activating/deactivating the alarm when I bought it, but this doesn't seem to be an issue. The buttons are slightly recessed and you need to hold them for a few seconds to operate them - a nice fail safe to keep me from calling the cops by accident.
Easy to install on a Concord 4, Submitted by Jim W on 9/22/2008
I've got a Concord 4. This is easy to install and works very nice. One thing I learned, the instructions for this remote don't state that for a Concord 4, you should learn this "sensor" as a "Group 1" device. If the remote is installed on a group that includes supervisory monitoring (see page 160 of the Concord 4 manual), then if the device doesn't transmit to the panel within 12 hours (default RF Tx timeout setting), then a "Sensor Supervisory" error message will apper on the keypad.
