For my GE Simon 3 system, I just set it to one house code above the one programmed in at the panel, and set the unit code at 9. Apparently this module will chirp when used with other systems (as described in the module's manual), but not with the GE Simon 3, so the unit code can be set at either 9 or 10 without a difference, and will only trigger the loud sound at alarm, not ever for status beeps.
Short delay in activating on and off (3-4 seconds). Long screw included if you want to secure it to a standard outlet so it can't simply be unplugged.
