Securitrons newly manufactured SAM2, a smaller sized version of the SAM, permits inconspicuous installations in aluminum, wood and steel doors or cabinets for the perfect finished appearance. The SAM2 takes up a small 1-1/4" (25.65 mm) width which supports use in a wide variety of different environments where the larger SAM cannot fit. The SAM2 also uses swing through operation on double acting doors and may even be implemented on motorized bi-parting doors with an exclusive breakaway escape feature. The SAM2 has a possible traffic control holding force of 600 pounds (273 Kg.) and yet it uses only 200mA of power while operating at 24 VDC.
