The monitor also provides an self-detecting feature that automatically senses whether a PAL or NTSC video source is connected, in addition to a universal power supply, letting it be powered by sources ranging from 90 to 245 VAC and 50Hz or 60Hz.
An illuminated green LED situated beside the power button verifies the fact that power is being supplied to the monitor. The HMC21 also features a latching power switch which stays in its set position — either on or off — to ensure that you don't have to turn it back on in the event of a possible power loss. The monitor has S-VHS capabilities to provide for the highest possible quality video when connected to a compatible VCR, such as ADEMCO Video's AVR960SV, and an audio input and output that permits operators to listen-in as well as view the monitored location.
