I had originally purchased the GE 13-950 Siren and hooked it up to my GE Simon XT system with the 4.7K Ohm resistor installed very close to the siren, and the siren was about 6 feet away from the Simon XT system and was sourcing 117 mA of current to this GE Siren. I was unhappy with the output Sound Pressure Level (SPL) in decibels absolute (dba) within our home. So, I purchased this BLOODHOUND siren and put it in a parallel circuit with the GE 13-950 siren and resistor -- I am now sourcing 175 mA. to these two sirens and I can now hear it in the garage with the garage door closed. This BLOODHOUND Warble is GREAT. Now I have three sirens (Simon XT built-in siren, the GE 13-950 siren, and the Bloodhound), and it still leaves me 75 mA. away from the maximum source current of 250 mA. that the Simon XT can source to the load on HW1 Output. This BLOODHOUND is Super Loud and the Warble is GREAT. This is so loud the dogs in the neighborhood leave town, and the burglars will leave also, I'm sure.
