This famous MegaCode device supports the use of handheld, visor clip, or keychain transmitters (the industry's largest possible selection) to ensure an additional level of remote control over gates and garage door openers. Its random code selection from over a total of one million factory-set possibilities that cannot be changed in the field completely ensures the highest available protection against code theft and accidental duplication.

Programming is Sophisticated but Simple

Ease and convenience of installation is very much an important part of the RE-1 concept. Programming can also be quickly and conveniently done from the RE-1's keypad or through the use of a touch-tone phone unit.

User programming is extremely easy. For instance, time zone programming is furnished to determine the time and/or day during which residents are active. Programs are also supplied to lock out possible prank calls in the middle of the night, and to lock or open doors and gates as necessary.

Full-Featured Telephone With Intercom Modes

The telephone furnished with this entry system has incredible versatility. In practice it is identical to any residential phone and provides the following unique features:

• Ability to call up to three pre-programmed off-site numbers
• Can produce call waiting tones
• Can call forward through time zones or resident commands.

For on-premises communications, the RE-1 has been equipped with large number of valuable intercom capabilities. For a certain premises having multiple entrances, guest houses, or separate apartments, any of these places may be phoned, because up to seven RE-1's can share the same exact phone line and offer intercom applications.

In addition to all this, a separate INTERCOM mode permits connection of the RE-1 to a PBX telephone system or a separately connected residential intercom system using just a pair of wires.

Optional CCTV

The RE-1 can also be field upgraded with a special closed circuit television package that vastly improves the security capability of the system.

The package contains a compact black/white camera that neatly installs in back of the unit's darkened lens for a concealed, non-intimidating appearance. Infrared illuminators are also supplied to assure that clear images are received in low light conditions.
