Smoke Detector

The ADEMCO 5193 Series low profile, addressable V-Plex smoke detectors provide you with state-of-the-art features and benefits in a cost-effective package.

These detectors are specially manufactured to give open area coverage and are easily compatible with ADEMCO's VISTA controls supporting V-Plex technology.

During normal conditions an LED included on the detector will blink periodically, remain on steady during alarms, and cease entirely to pulse if the chamber is out of the acceptable sensitivity range.

An extremely powerful capability available within the 5193 Series is the Automatic Maintenance Alert/Reporting function — a feature often found in today's high end analog addressable systems.

The detectors always monitor their own sensitivity levels in addition to the fundamental normal and alarm conditions. These HIGH and LOW SENSITIVITY transmissions are communicated to the control panel through the V-Plex addressable loop, in order to indicate locally and at the central station that the sensor may not have the ability to pick up smoke or may send false alarms. This feature conforms well with Vista-32FB, 128FB, 128B and First Alert Professional FA1600C.
