Security and Convenience Within Your Reach
Schlage Recognition Systems brings the true security and convenience of biometric technology easily within reach of most access control applications. The HandKey II utilizes field-proven hand geometry technology that maps and verifies the size and shape of a person's hand all in less than one second.
- Provides REAL Security
- Saves you money over card-based access systems
- Fast and incredibly easy to use
- Offers convenience by eliminating the necessity for cards
- Easily integrates into already existing access systems
- Field tested and proven reliable technology
The benefits of biometric security were once reserved for high-security applications, but the HandKey II changes that. Ten and thousands of HandKeys are already installed in applications that range from health clubs and day care centers to laboratories and prisons. Its ease of use and reliability have made the HandKey the biometric standard for the access control industry. The lower costs of the HandKey II now makes that choice even easier.
REAL Security at a Reasonable Price
The HandKey II provides the best possible security and convenience, even when compared with card-based systems. Because your hand is your card, HandKey II allows access to authorized persons alone without all the hassles that come along with having to keep track of a card or a key. By eliminating the necessity for cards, you can drastically reduce administrative costs while increasing the level of security.
Door Control and Monitoring
The HandKey II's special design supplies the ultimate level of system dependability. Each HandKey II unit is a complete door controller providing operation of door locks, requires requesting for exits, and also supplies alarm monitoring.
All information needed, including biometric data and decision-making features remains within the unit. This ensures your doors will remain secured and will continue to operate correctly even if all communications to the main access control computer are lost completely.
Features of the HandKey Include:
- Door operation and monitoring service
- Includes card reader input
- Requires requesting for exit authorization
- Tamper protection switch
- Memory enlargment from 512 (standard) to 32,512 users
- Comes with a RS-232 printer output
- Optional modem or Ethernet module also available
- Designed to support stand-alone or networked operation
- Has a card reader emulation mode
- New integrated wall mount design
- Supports multiple auxiliary inputs and outputs
- Can receive up to 62 user programmable time zones
- Outdoor version is also available
Stand-Alone or Fully Integrated
Systems can be as simple as one unit mounted on the computer room door to hundreds of different units all networked together. The HandKey II's card reader emulation mode makes integrating it into existing access control systems fast and easy. With a vast range of communications options, including dial-up modems and Ethernet connections, you can select the perfect system for your needs.
Network Capabilities
RSI's HandNet for Windows software is programmed to connect nearly an infinite number of HandKey units into a built-in door access control system. All alarms and other miscellaneous transactions report back in real time to the central access control computer, making door and alarm monitoring easy and completely efficient.
Activity, user, and system reports can be very easily produced. The central computer is specifically designed to handle all hand template management automatically, allowing quick and easy authorized enrollment at any reader as well as system-wide deletions. An optional internal modem also allows you to include other remote site operations. Ethernet communication also available.
