Extended Warranty Program

Summary:
The program is simple. You can add the extended warranty when you checkout on our website or when you order by phone. The cost is listed as an option for each qualifying security system. The cost and length of warranty may vary by product. When your system is boxed up, we will include your warranty certificate for your records. You are NOT required to register your product after you receive it. Registration takes place immediately upon payment.

Only the main control panel is covered under this extended warranty and not the accessories. This program is an extension of the manufacturer's warranty. The same coverage and limitations will be applied during the extended period. For example, an alarm panel that is hit by lightning would not be covered under the original or extended warranty.

There are no strings attached and the program has been designed to be simple and straightforward. You can choose our Extended Warranty with confidence, and protect your investment.

TERMS:

When an extended warranty is purchased, the product is covered for 1 (one) year by the manufacturer of that product. After the first year, the same warranty terms will be honored by SafeMart for a period of 1 or 2 additional years, for a total warranty period of 2 or 3 years. The length of the warranty will correspond with your (the original purchaser) selection at the time of purchase, which will be documented on your Extended Warranty Certificate. The time period for any warranty begins on the date of delivery to you (the original purchaser).

CONDITIONS:
If the product malfunctions due to defect within the warranty time period, the product will be repaired or replaced at SafeMart's discretion, for the original purchaser. The replacement or repaired product will be returned to you by common carrier within 30 days, unless there are unexpected delays. SafeMart will notify you if there are any delays and offer a suitable replacement on loan until your product is delivered to you. The product that is replaced or repaired will continue to be warranted for the remainder of the term, from the original warranty activation date.

EXCLUSIONS:
Original warranty or extended warranty will not apply if the product has been misused or not properly installed or maintained. Also excluded from Warranty Claims will be any product that is made inoperable due to power failure, lightning, or any other irregularities with the incoming electrical power. Care should be taken to prevent this problem with the use of a surge protector and back-up battery.

WARRANTY CLAIMS:
If you (the original purchaser) have a warranty claim during the warranty period, contact SafeMart in writing (info@safemart.com) or by phone (785-437-2534) for a Warranty Return Authorization Number. You will be required to send the defective product to SafeMart for warranty claims, with a Warranty Return Authorization Number. You are responsible for shipping charges. The product should be shipped to:
